Three strikes........and you're a turkey!
So yea. Saturday was a good day. I had a BLAST. Laughing, messing around, fun time. I'm so happy I was able to go. Oh, but yea, it may help if I told you what happened. Saturday a group of us went bowling. It was Me, Becky, Q (Mike), David, Meagan, Jim, Connie, and Phyllis. (Hope it's ok I'm being informal). We played two games. Which was plenty. And we had ourselves a laugh or two. Lets just say we have some interesting bowlers in our group. Once, Becky forgot to let go of the ball and held on to it. (Haha Becky). And Connie. I'm telling you. She's so cute. She bowls from half way in the middle of the lane. She's afraid of slipping in the lane. Which I totally understand, seeing as I myself have had the honor of doing so. And in no way am I saying this in a bad way. Because it was too cute.
Now about the best moment of the night, and the reason for the title of this entry. Phyllis. OH MY. You don't even know. Here's what happened. I was just talking. And I mentioned how I wish I could get three strikes in a row. Because it's called a turkey...and I have always wanted to do a turkey dance to celebrate. Well. I didn't. Which, that's ok, since much better occurred. Phyllis had said that if she got three, she would do it. Don't get me wrong, but I didn't really think she would get three in a row let alone dance. (Keep in mind I've never seen her bowl). Welp, she blew me awaaaaaay. She got her third strike....and DANCED! OH MY WORD! It was by far...one of the greatest things I have ever seen. She didn't just move a little. She full fledge danced.
The cost of two games of bowling: $3.75 on Debit Card.
The cost of rental shoes: $2.50 on Debit Card.
Watching Phyllis do the Turkey Dance.....PRICELESS!
There's some things money can't buy. And that's one of them.
After bowling, we all went out to eat at Apple Bee's. It was fun too. We all ate, sat around yapping, had a good time. But of course....there was one incident that I could share to keep this part interesting. There is an inside joke going around within a few of us. Pretty much the younger ones listed in paragraph one. So when Phyllis calls me, and says, "I've been thinking about you".....I knew I'd never live it down. Oh brother. You guys...I didn't even do it...why am I the one getting razzed? lol. I still say... "Hey....that's alright. I'm the one having 4 people thinking about me. Even if it IS David, Keith, Phyllis, and Meagan. I guess that's not all bad right?" Ahahahahahaha. Too funny.
After dinner, we all left. But it was still pretty early, and I just didn't feel like ending the night yet. So I went to the movies with Andrew, Dan, Ashley, and Shannon. We saw Thr3e. I guess was a Christian horror/suspense movie. Eh, it was ok. Not a theater worthy movie. But still possibly rental material. After that we all went to Wal-Mart. That's how us Westland folk do. lol. We had a good time.
And that was pretty much my fun-filled Saturday. One of the most social/actually doing something days I've had in a while. So thanks to all of you who I hung out with. It was great. I enjoyed it and I can't wait to do it again. Speaking of doing it again.... Phyllis thought of the idea of maybe doing it once a month or something. Not sure if it really will happen or not. But I sure do hope so. And if we do....each month I will definitely be counting down till that day. And I would be looking forward to more people getting turkeys.... :)
Hope you enjoyed this blog...and I promise....I'll be posting a lot more often.
(PS: I can't get my pictures to load right now...so I'll try again later. Sorry. :( )

Stephenie,
You are an interesting and entertaining writer! I'm proud of you. And I enjoyed bowling with you and everyone else. And, yes, we need to bowl again. You're a precious soul and I'm thankful to know you. Connie
